Rain, rain, go away.

Ok, I understand that we need rain to nourish crops and make everything green and pretty, but could we have showers and not monsoons, please!?!? Now it looks like Top Gun Movie in the Park might get rained out and the Jayhawks will really be playing Rainy Day Musicon Thursday (yeah, it's a pun and it's horrible... but don't you understand that that's what makes it sooo great)! Anyway, greatest tragedy of the week: weather for Nashville--rainy until Friday; weather for mom's house--sunny until Friday, then rain for the weekend. Guess where I'll be this weekend. yeah, that's swell. gah! Just call me waterlogged...

More

You never know who loves you ‘til you break their hearts and you never know who’ll stay ‘til you try to walk away. I fled into the city. The beautiful hum and glow. The reckless here and now. But somehow, it was too much and never enough at once.

Now I can’t see the stars anymore through the neon lights. It’s like mid afternoon in the dead of the night. And the pavement’s been a-wearin’ the soles of my shoes as thin as my soul is inside. I need you more than I realized.

I miss my home, where on a clear summer night, you start up a fire and lay right beside me and dew from the grass clings to our feet as we count the stars a-fallin’ from the sky. I need you more than I realized.

You make me more than I realized.
